NOTE: The subunits of the 18-fiber bundles do not have color coded subunit jackets. The subunit color is determined by the presence of red, violet or yellow colored fiber within the subunit.
Step 5 - Slide the heat shrink tubing with the furcation unit identification over the furcation unit loose tube furcation cables onto the furcation unit body. Holding the heat gun approximately 100 mm (4 in) away from the furcation unit, shrink the shrink tubing.
Step 6 - End seal any furcation cables that will not be terminated in accordance with Method 1E1 of this standard.
